Our bereavement services offer education, counseling and support for people of all ages who are faced with the distress of a life-threatening disease or the death of a loved one, anywhere in our service area.
Our professional licensed staff has special expertise in helping ease the pain of loss and guiding people through the challenging process of grief and toward a path of hope and renewal.
Individual/Family Bereavement Counseling
Our professional counselors are specially trained to provide individual & family counseling for those dealing with the death of a loved one or struggling with the effects of chronic or life-threatening illness. These services are available to hospice families following the death of a loved one and are also available to all individuals in the community.
Bereavement Support Groups for Adults
Bereavement groups offer family members and significant others an opportunity to learn more about the grief process and to give and receive support from others who are also grieving. Groups are offered throughout the year and are free of charge and open to the public. Topics include "Spousal/Partner Loss", "Young and Widowed", "Me and My Shadow" for adult sibling loss, "Adult Orphans" and "Loss of A Child".
Other Programs and Services
Kids Grieve Too!®
We also provide support to families with children who have a family member with a terminal illness. This may involve regular office visits and, in the care of very small children, visits to the home. We are committed to helping families support their youngest members through the journey of serious illness.
Community Crisis and Support
When a death happens in or impacts a group setting, i.e. workplace, school or community, our professional grief counselors can provide immediate crisis intervention as well as ongoing support and education.
Grief Support and Education Programs
Our professional bereavement staff is available to provide trainings and workshops to schools, businesses, churches and community organizations on many topics related to loss and grief.
