Are all hospice programs the same? Is there a choice?

All hospices are NOT the same. Every patient has the right to know about all hospice programs available and make the choice that’s right for him or her. Established in 1981, Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod was the first and only hospice on the Cape for many years, Today there are several, some run by for-profit corporations, some added on as supplements to other types of medical services. H&PCCC remains today as the only independent non-profit hospice in the area. We have the experience and community connection you can count on at your critical time of need. In a 2006 clinical market survey conducted by Market Research, Inc., local physicians said we are the hospice they would most frequently choose for themselves, their patients and their families. For us, end-of-life care isn’t an add-on to other services; it is our sole focus, our specialty and our passion. Our unique programs include a residential care program that is provided at The McCarthy Care Center, childhood bereavement services through the Kids Grieve Too!® program, and the Cape Cod Pediatric Palliative Care Program.
